REENA SHAH

Hello-Hello! My name is Reena Shah and I am an Artist Manager & Sync Music Licensing Agent who represents the works of Lead Singer - Songwriter Todd Michaelsen of the pop-rock band My Pet Dragon. I also rep the works of Singer - Songwriter Jeff Tareila. 

I have toured extensively with the band My Pet Dragon as a singer, booking agent, tour manager, publicist, and giver of good vibes. I was able to get the band on some great festival spots including opening for MUTEMATH and Walk Off the Earth at Summerfest in Milwaukee, the Breckenridge Beer Festival in Colorado, SXSW in Austin, & NXNE in Toronto. 

I have landed multiple sync placements for My Pet Dragon's song 'Moonshine' - which was licensed to the 1st National Commercial for Ole Smoky Tennessee Moonshine. "Moonshine" was also licensed to the feature film "Then Came You" in a scene where the lead character played by Asa Butterfield finds "Moonshine" on his iPod and starts dancing to it wildly. And most recently, 'Moonshine" was licensed to a movie in Ireland. Todd Michaelsen was also commissioned to write an original song called "Airborne" for 'Then Came You', in which I sang a duet with him. Todd also composed the Opening Title Credit Music and the Original Score to the Award Winning Animated Feature Film: Sita Sings the Blues, where I was the speaking voice of Sita and sang an original song called "Agni Pariksha" for the film. 

I continue to seek sync placement opportunities for the catalogue I represent as I believe these songs have the potential to continue to reach the masses through commercials, television shows, video games, sports, & movies... and through micro-syncs via Social Media, TikTok, Etc... I am also a multi-disciplinary artist who has worked extensively in Film, TV, Theater, & Commercials both on-camera and behind-the-scenes. 

I voiced ad campaigns for Toyota & HSBC. I narrated the Independent Lens Documentary "A Dream in Doubt" and have been on the HBO Max Shows "Julia" about Julia Child with Bebe Neuwirth & David Hyde Pearce and "Reframed: Next Gen Narratives - The Adventures of Robin Hood" with Clayton Farris. And I was also the Assistant Choreographer and Dancer in the Universal Pictures Film, The Guru with Marisa Tomei, Michael McKean, & Heather Graham. I continue to tour with DJ Rekha as a Dancer & Bhangra Dance Workshop Instructor. Highlights with DJ Rekha include performances at Central Park Summerstage, The Kennedy Center, Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts, Sundance Film Festival, Levitt Pavilion for the Performing Arts, Wakarusa Music Festival, and more. 

I'm also a professionally classically trained Indian Dancer in the dance style of Bharata Natyam, & Indian Folk Dance styles of Garba, Raas and teach dance workshops at public events & festivals throughout the world. I believe there is a dancer in all of us. I am a graduate of New York University with a major in Communication Studies with a Concentration in Mass Media and Society. I've worked at Planet Hollywood Public Relations, Comedy Central Public Relations, & Showtime Networks Talent & Media Relations Dept.
